ABRACO is a non-profit civil institution dedicated for more
than 35 years to the study of corrosion and its protection and control methods.
- ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
ABRACO is governed by a Board of Directors, under the guidance of the Deliberative Council and supervised by the Fiscal
Council, serving a two-year term. The Technical Management -

Management - financeiro@abraco.org.br , with the following areas of activity,
report to the Board of Directors.
- Events
- eventos@abraco.org.br
In addition to seminars, forums and lectures, ABRACO organizes every year the Brazilian Corrosion Congress, which covers all
areas of corrosion and anticorrosive protection.
The Brazilian Corrosion Congress is one of the country's most important events of the area. In parallel with technical activities,
the event also offers:
| |
- Industrial Exhibition
- Technical Photo Contest
- Technical-Commercial Sessions
|
- Courses
- cursos@abraco.org.br
The courses sector is responsible for the organization and logistics of the courses conducted in our headquarters, which is
equipped with modern facilities. We also offer in-company courses and courses in partnerships with important national institutions
of related areas.
- Library
- biblioteca@abraco.org.br
ABRACO has a technical Library specialized in corrosion, anticorrosive protection and related subjects. The Library's collection
is comprised of books, periodicals, technical standards, technical papers, annals of events and photos. Services offered include
bibliographic research, on-site consultation, forwarding of publications and technical information.
- Brazilian Corrosion Committee CB-43
- cb43@abraco.org.br
Brazilian Committees are bodies created by institutions and officially constituted by the Brazilian Technical Standards
Association (ABNT), according to specified criteria, with the purpose of managing standardization activities within the
pre-established scope of action.
The area of action of CB-43 covers corrosion of metals and their alloys, with respect to terminology, requirements, evaluation,
classification, test methods and general matters.
CB-43 works today with four Study Committees:
