The Sherwin-Williams - Sumaré will introduce innovations at INTERCORR 2010
New paints and processes for surface preparation and for paint applications are constantly being introduced as well as perfected. Always concerned about this market, Sherwin-Williams in Brazil, through its Sumaré division, will present at Intercorr 2010 innovations in products and concepts regarding paints and coatings, emphasizing the preservation of the environment. Among them, there will be ecological paints with low or zero VOC (volatile organic component), free of heavy metals and coal tar as well as paints for heated surfaces and for floors resistant to acid drops and spillage.

NUTEC - Nucleus of Industrial Technology of the State of Ceará supports INTERCORR 2010
NUTEC - State Executive Agency of Technological Research-development and innovations has a laboratorial infrastructure and an entire technical body made up of Master, Ph.D and Specialist levels specialized in chemistry, materials, civil construction, mechanics, electricity and electronics. They develop applied research projects, test services, consulting and training. With its own coordination, or in partnership with other technical and scientific entities, in collaboration with ABRACO, we have been in Fortaleza successfully sharing lectures, courses, seminars and national and international Congresses. Within this realm, INTERCORR 2010 has offered technological themes and information, products and services related to the challenges and impacts of technical, social, economical and environmental developments brought about by the acceleration of the growth of a center as Ceará, chosen to be the headquarters for the soccer World Cup, as well as for large project executions such as Pecém´s Steel industry facilities and Refinery, among others

Partnership between CTDUT and ABRACO
CTDUT - Center of Technology in Ducts was inaugurated in 2006 as a private nonprofit association. This came about thanks to the initiative of PETROBRÁS. TRANSPETRO and PUC-Rio now have more than 40 associates among companies, entities as well as teaching and research institutions. It is a shared technological center, aimed at developing ducts. It has laboratories and facilities in real scale in order to study and to test products and equipment used in the duct network. Corrosion, being one of the focused areas, CTDUT, as one more initiative, created a partnership with ABRACO supporting INTERCORR 2010, where the whole community has the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences based on this technological challenge.

Fortaleza once again will hold one of the main international events on corrosion taking place in Brazil
After the success of LATINCORR in 2006, Fortaleza will hold INTERCORR 2010 in the Praia Centro Hotel´s Convention Center; the expectation is that there will be more than 800 participants present in this city called “Land of the Light”. Both events include CONBRASCORR - Brazilian Congress on Corrosion which has been held in the Northeast successively since 2005. The organization hopes INTERCORR 2010 will be as successful as the previous events and that outstanding projections be present thanks to the strong presence of companies and national and international professionals
