Obtained a B.Sc. and Ph. D. in chemistry from Imperial College, London University, UK.
Presently employed as Technical Director, Marine Coatings, Americas, for International Paint LLC, a division of AkzoNobel.
Has held various positions in management of research and technology, marketing and manufacturing departments in UK and East, West and Gulf coasts of USA.
Experienced in design and implementation of business development plans and marketing strategies; management of laboratory, technical service and marketing personnel; product development, manufacturing process improvement and quality control procedures; shipyard procedures for newbuilding and maintenance and repair; training of customers, sales and technical service personnel.
Also experienced in compliance with and negotiation of environmental regulations with various Federal and State agencies, including US Environmental Protection Agency, Health Canada and California Department of Pesticide Regulation.
Participated as member of various Professional Associations, including National Paint and Coatings Association (NPCA), Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC), NACE International, Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) and ASTM International.
