Rules

1 OBJECTIVE

The 19th Corrosion Technical Photography Contest, organized by ABRACO - Brazilian Association of Corrosion on the INTERCORR 2014, has the purpose of stimulating the dissemination of the characteristics and visual aspects (morphology) of the different types of corrosion, with didactic objectives.

2 PARTICIPANTS

Only lecturers enrolled in the INTERCORR 2014 may participate of the Photography Contest.

3 THEMES

All aspects of corrosion on parts and equipments.

4 PRESENTATION

4.1 Black and white and color photographs will be accepted.
4.2 Each participant may compete with one photograph.
4.3 The photographs must be submitted in JPG format, with a resolution of 200 dpi and no larger than 2Mb. Photographs that do not comply with this format will not be accepted.
4.4 Assembled photographs and/or photographs with highlighted details will not be accepted.
4.5 The photographs may not have any marks or information that may identify the author(s) and/or company(ies).
4.6 Only technical descriptions, no longer than 300 characters, will be accepted.

5 REGISTRATION PERIOD

The material must be submitted before April 11th of 2014.

6 JUDGMENT

7.1 All of the participants of the INTERCORR 2014 may vote for the photograph they prefer. Voting will end at 11 A.M. of the 23rd of May and the votes will be counted electronically at 11:30 A.M. of the same day.
7.2 The Contest's winners will be announced and the awards will be delivered during the Congress's Closing Session.
7.3 The final decision of the Executive Board of the INTERCORR 2014 is sovereign, and no appeals are admissible.

8 AWARDS

8.1 The authors of the photographs that ranked in first, second and third places will be awarded and only one award will be given per classification.
8.2 If the winning photograph has more than one author, there will be only one award and its apportionment will be at the sole discretion of the authors, and ABRACO will not be responsible for the award's destiny.

9 EXHIBIT

All of the material submitted will be exposed during the INTERCORR 2014.

10 GENERAL CONDITIONS

10.1 All material in the Contest, regardless of the awards, will be incorporated into ABRACO'S archives, and ABRACO may disclose it, at its sole discretion, without notice to the author(s).
10.2 Materials that do not comply with these Rules will be automatically disqualified for the awards, however, they may be a part of the exhibit as well as of ABRACO'S technical archive.
10.3 All omitted cases shall be resolved by the Executive Board of the INTERCORR 2014.
10.4 Any form of publication, by the author, of their photograph is forbidden, as is any solicitation of votes.
10.4.1 The violation of what is established herein will incur in the photograph's disqualification.

11 ENROLLMENT

The act of registering in the 19th Photograph Contest will constitute your unrestricted acceptance of these Rules, and ABRACO will hold the disclosure rights of the submitted material.
